Training

Dr. Amanda Honour is a fully qualified Specialist Anaesthetist accredited at numerous private hospitals in Melbourne. 

Dr. Honour graduated with Honours from Monash University (MBBS) in 2002 and obtained specialist accreditation and admission to the Fellowship of Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2011. She completed her medical and specialist training at Monash Medical Centre and fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. She also worked as a doctor for two years at St. Georges’ Hospital in the United Kingdom during her anaesthetic training. 


Experience

Dr. Honour previously held a public appointment as a VMO at St Vincent’s Hospital for 5 years and has worked in private practice in numerous Melbourne hospitals since 2011. She is currently accredited and works frequently at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Epworth Hospitals (Richmond, Eastern & Freemasons), Cabrini Hospital and The Avenue Hospital. 
Amanda has a special interest in robotic surgery for ENT and thoracic specialties. She also performs anaesthesia for a wide range of specialties including endocrine, ENT, bariatric, gastrointestinal, orthopaedic, plastic and thoracic surgery. 
Dr. Honour is enrolled in the ANZCA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme. She has also completed the EMAC instructor (Emergency Management of Anaesthetic Crises) Course 



Outside interests

Outside of work Amanda is married with two young children. She has a passion for the Arts, outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
