Dr. Andrew Middleton

Training
Andrew Middleton is a specialist Anaesthetist and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA.)
He obtained his medical degree from The University of Melbourne in 1998 and subsequently completed his specialty anaesthesia training in 2009 through St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, The Mercy Hospital for Women and The Royal Children’s Hospital.
Experience
Following this, Andrew undertook a twelve month Fellowship at The Royal Melbourne hospital focusing on anaesthesia for trauma, neurosurgery and plastic reconstructive surgery. As part of this Fellowship, he was involved in research in the area of pain medicine and anaesthesia for neurosurgery. He is published in the field of anaesthesia for vascular surgery.
Andrew is currently appointed as a visiting specialist anaesthetist at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He also works at several private hospitals across Melbourne. His areas of clinical interest include regional anaesthesia for plastic and orthopaedic surgery, ENT surgery, vascular and neurosurgery.
Outside interests
Outside of work, Andrew is a father to three young children and a keen cyclist.
